Kayaks are designed to make travel by river smooth and are lots of fun too. They offer the perfect choice for your own adventure along the upper river, out towards Grantchester Meadows and beyond. There are plenty stop off points on the route and you'll get the chance to see Cambridge's diverse wildlife species in action.

Prices are calculated to the nearest 6 minutes after the first hour.
The minimum age for hiring a boat is 16 years old.
Personal buoyancy aids (life-vests for swimmers or life-jackets for non-swimmers) are included as part of the hire and must be worn.

Additional Information

Your online ticket is valid for 6 months from the date of purchase and can be redeemed at our Granta Place Boatyard on a walk-up basis. It's easy to use: just present us with a printout or show us on your mobile device. Please note that before you head off, we take a security deposit of a credit card imprint and then issue your time-stamped ticket.

Personal Buoyancy Aids (life vests for swimmers and life jackets for non-swimmers) are supplied to all of our kayak hirers. Dry bags are available on request.
