What is the difference between a shared and private tour?
A shared tour gives you individual seats on a chauffeured punt with other customers. A private tour gives your group exclusive use of the punt and is ideal for families, celebrations, corporate groups and special occasions.
Where do tours and hire sessions start from?
Scudamore's operates from several Cambridge locations, including Mill Lane, Quayside and Scudamore's Boatyard. Your booking confirmation will show your departure point, so please check it carefully before travelling.
How early should I arrive?
Please arrive 15 minutes before your booking time. This gives you time to check in, find the correct departure point and get ready before your trip.
Do I need to book in advance?
We recommend booking in advance, especially during weekends, school holidays, bank holidays and busy summer periods. Same-day bookings may be available online or at the punting station, but availability cannot be guaranteed.
I have not received my booking confirmation. What should I do?
Please check your junk or spam folder first. If you still cannot find it, contact us on 01223 359750 or email enquiries@scudamores.com with the name used to book, your booking date and your contact details.
Can I arrive late?
Please contact the Bookings Team as soon as possible if you are running late. We will always try to help, but late arrival may reduce your time on the river or mean your booking cannot go ahead.
Do I need to print my ticket?
No. You can usually show your booking confirmation on your phone. Please make sure it is easy to access when you arrive.
Where is Scudamore's based?
Scudamore's operates from several Cambridge locations, including Mill Lane, Quayside and Scudamore's Boatyard. Your booking confirmation will tell you which location to use.
Is there parking nearby?
Cambridge has a range of parking and public transport options. We recommend checking parking information before travelling, especially during weekends, holidays and peak periods.

Please go to the station listed on your booking confirmation. If you are unsure, contact the Bookings Team before travelling.
Are you open all year?
Scudamore's is usually open throughout the year, except Christmas Day, conditions permitting. Opening times vary by season, daylight and river conditions, so please check the latest opening times before travelling.
