EACH Giving Tree

Scudamore's Leaf

Scudamore’s have been honoured for their fundraising efforts for EACH (The East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices) over Christmas 2013. We were kindly invited to visit their grounds and facilities to see the services and efforts that our funds had helped to support. You can read about the visit here.

Beside the hospice there is a beautiful garden and play area for their children to enjoy. In this garden, there is a ‘The Giving Tree’ on which donors can purchase either a bronze, silver or gold leaf or apple. This means that it’s a continually growing tree as people show their support to the charity.

We thought this was a beautiful idea in itself, and then noted that each of these plaques was also inscribed. It’s a brilliant way to visually demonstrate how many people are contributing to and supporting this awesome charity.

As we had raised money for EACH over Christmas with our Punting and Carol’s event, Beccy Turner (Cambridge EACH Fundraiser) recommended that we also added a leaf to their Giving Tree. It was a pleasure to raise money for them, and we’re very thankful to have been added to their inspirational work of art!
