May Week is the climax of the University year and an ideal time to go punting. Due to demand our opening hours are extended over much of the period. Please see the bottom of this page for details.

The best way to see the spectacular firework displays put on by the May Balls at Clare and Trinity on Monday 17 June and St. John's on Tuesday 18 June, is from a punt. We offer both chauffeured and self-hire services and offer Scheme members priority booking.

Fireworks Chauffeured Punts
Departing at 21:30, we take you on a tour of the College Backs before taking up position at about 22:30 to enjoy the display. The trip ends at about 23:00. You can either reserve places on a public tour or book your own private punt seating up to 12 people.
Public Tour Mon 17 sold out Tue 18 buy	Adult £15.00, senior citizen / student £13.50. Period of hire: 21:30 to 23:00 (90 minutes).
Private Tour Mon 17 sold out Tue 18 buy	£150.00 per 12-seater chauffeured punt. Period of hire: 21:30 to 23:00 (90 minutes).

Fireworks Evening Hire Punts
Our fixed-rate Fireworks Evening Hire punts can be taken out from 19:00 allowing you to enjoy a leisurely evening on the river before enjoying the fireworks at 22:30.
On Station	£70.00 per punt, if available. Period of hire: 19:00 onwards to 01:00 (up to 6 hours). Thereafter: hire at Student Punt Scheme hourly rate.
Booking Mon 17 sold out Tue 18 sold out	£70.00 per punt. Period of hire: 19:00 onwards to 01:00 (up to 6 hours). Thereafter: hire at Student Punt Scheme hourly rate.

Grantchester Overnight Punts
The most popular nights of the year for Overnight Punts are the Monday to Friday of May Week, as friends get together one last time before the Long Vacation. We have been asked by the landowners to inform our customers that it is forbidden to light fires or camp out on the Meadows.
On station	£45.00 per punt, if available. Period of hire: 17:00 onwards to 09:00. Thereafter: hire at Student Punt Scheme hourly rate.
