We offer self-hire punts for both the College Backs and Grantchester,
with canoes, kayaks and rowboats available for Grantchester only. The
most popular format is hourly hire and all craft can be hired this
way. Longer period fixed rate hire formats are also available for
Grantchester and are excellent value. Please see the table below for a
summary of the different craft and hire formats available.
Although boating requires a fair sense of balance and co-ordination,
our staff are on hand to offer tips and most people acquire
sufficient expertise without undue difficulty. For those wanting to
put in a little advance preparation we have produced a
punting technique page. The
BBC's recent
"Bluffer's guide to punting" may also provide inspiration! Guides
to canoeing, kayaking and rowing will appear here in due course.
