I Could Have
Danced All Night ~ A J Lerner
After a relaxing 60 minute punt tour of the College Backs it's time to
get your dancing shoes on! We have teamed up with Cambridge’s finest
salsa club to offer you a 60 minute private dance class, with your
instructor taking you through the basic steps.
The salsa class takes place in the Hidden Rooms, one of Cambridge's
newest venues, which is conveniently located in the centre of
Cambridge, only a short walk from our punt stations. For groups that
would like to relax with a well-earned drink after their class there
is a bar available.
This package must be pre-booked and can be tailored to your specific
requirements (e.g. some groups prefer to take the salsa class before
the punt tours and some prefer to spread the two activities over
consecutive days). For further information on advance sales click

History of Salsa
Salsa has its roots in Cuban music. Musically, Salsa is a group of
Latin rhythmic styles that contain the Clave beat, the five note
syncopated rhythmic cell of African origin. Salsa music is a
synthesis of European and African musical influences, the European
connection being mainly the melodies and harmony of the Andalucian
region of Spain.
