This 90 minute punting and walking tour combines a historical survey of our national drink with a look at the part it has played in Cambridge's colourful past. The tour includes samples of different types of beer and finishes at The Eagle.
This tour must be pre-booked and can be taken from our Mill Lane or Magdalene Bridge stations. It can also be tailored to specific requirements; for example, conference groups can choose to start or finish the tour at their college or hotel. Greene King
Ale brewing has been a part of life in the Suffolk town of Bury St. Edmunds since the 11th century. Greene King have been producing their superb ales since 1799. Their brewery is still situated in the historic heart of the town, a short walk from the ruins of the medieval Abbey, whose brewers were chronicled in the Domesday Book of 1086.
