There is nothing more traditionally English than punting on the River Cam or sitting down to enjoy a full afternoon tea. With this in mind we have developed an exclusive package with the Doubletree by Hilton Cambridge, to allow you to enjoy both of these 'must do' activities in one sitting.

After a relaxing 60 minute private punt tour of the College Backs you will retire to the comfort of the Doubletree's luxurious Twist Bar and Riverside Terrace. Here you will enjoy a mouth-watering afternoon tea overlooking the beautiful River Cam and the surrounding meadows:

Either a refreshing pot of tea from the Twinings Tea Rituals menu or a cafetiere of coffee (a glass of milk for under-12s).
Classic English sandwiches, including smoked salmon, cream cheese & cucumber, egg & cress and English ham & mustard.
Cream tea, consisting of a handmade classic fruit scone, served with strawberry jam and clotted cream.
Mini desserts.

This package must be pre-booked and is subject to availability. It can be tailored to your specific requirements (e.g. some groups like to take the afternoon tea before the tour). The tour can be booked for any time during our standard opening hours and the tea can be booked for any time from 15:00 to 17:30.

Prices & Information
Prices: per person; minimum charges apply. Duration: 135 minutes (60 minute punt tour + 75 minute afternoon tea), plus walking time between the activities (allow 10 minutes from Magdalene Bridge and 1 minute from Mill Lane). We recommend leaving a buffer of at least 30 minutes between the end of the first activity and the start of the second.
